R&D impact on proposed UK Fentanyl precursors legislation assessed

Working with several of our major clients, and within a space of 2 weeks, Scitegrity checked over 20 million chemicals in our clients R&D libraries to assess the likely impact should this become law.

Last month we reported on the UK governments plans for a new ‘generic statement’ controlling areas of chemical space covering Fentanyl precursors known as ANPP derivatives.

Working with several of our major clients, and within a space of 2 weeks, Scitegrity checked over 20 million chemicals in our clients R&D libraries to assess the likely impact should this become law. Our analysis, which has now been passed to the UK government via the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI), shows a very minimal impact, unless working specially with Fentanyl related chemistry.
